I’ve divided the article into a few categories to ease the reading experience for you. Having said that, let’s jump into the list and see what Apple has to offer us in the foreseeable future!
Apple TV+ upcoming shows in 2022
1. Shantaram

The fugitive flees from the Pentridge Prison in Australia and finds asylum in Bombay, India. While in India, Lindsay decides to seek redemption and disentangle the mess that his past creates. 2. Circuit Breakers

There’s not much information out on the internet about Circuit Breakers just yet. However, what we do know about the upcoming Apple TV+ series is that it’ll be a half-hour anthology series that will tackle issues often faced by kids. However, there’s a twist – the issues will be tackled through a sci-fi lens. Of course, not everything goes smoothly, and some unfortunate incidents lead to absolute chaos. The series is produced by Melody Fox, and the pilot episode will be directed by Matt Hastings, who’s also the show’s producer. It seems like Apple TV is targeting both adults and kids for this anthology series, and the show will feature some interesting turn of events. Check out more
3. Land of Women

Next on this list of upcoming Apple TV+ shows and movies, we have Land of Women. This is another highly anticipated show that’s based on a bestselling novel written by Sandra Barneda. The show is expected to be a mini-series comprising only six episodes and will toe the line between comedy and drama. Land of Women centers around Gala, an empty nester residing in New York City. Gala has to flee New York City with her teenage daughter and aging mother, thanks to her husband’s financial wrongdoings affecting the entire family. 4. Criminal Record

Crime and detective series often have both the viewer’s heart and attention. With Criminal Record, you can expect some unforeseen twists as two London-based detectives are thrown into revisiting an old murder case after they receive an anonymous phone call. The show will feature eight episodes, with each episode being an hour long. To make things even more interesting, one of the detectives is a seasoned veteran, while the other is a greenhorn harboring the excitement, fire, and righteousness of early age. Check out more

Sugar is another detective series that Apple TV+ will be bringing to your homes. However, there’s not much information available yet on the series, as Apple has remained tight-lipped on the details. 6. Las Azules

International Emmy Award winner Fernando Rovzar is the mastermind behind Las Azules, which will be Apple’s foray into foreign language drama. Las Azules will feature an all-Hispanic cast and seems to be set in the 1970s. The show is set to be an hour-long thriller consisting of 10 episodes and features stories based on the true incidents faced by Mexico’s first all-female police force. While police officers defy social conventions to become police officers, they realize that the creation of the force itself is to distract the media from the works of a brutal serial killer. The show is currently in the pre-production stage in Mexico City, and the release date is yet to be declared. Check out more
7. Hijack

Stories about plane hijacks and people’s reactions to dramatic adversities are always in demand. Bearing this in mind, Apple TV+ is bringing Hijack to the small screen, starring Emmy-nominated Idris Elba in the lead role. The seven-part thriller follows the happenings inside a flight making its way to London on a seven-hour journey. As expected, the plane is hijacked, and Elba’s Sam Nelson will have to use his skills as a business negotiator to help his fellow passengers through this messy situation. However, Nelson’s use of high-risk strategies may not go as smoothly as he hopes. Will Nelson be able to handle the situation, or will he put the lives of hundreds of passengers at even more risk? 8. The Big Cigar

Movies such as “Catch Me If You Can” have often left us rooting for the charismatic lead, escaping authority in the most ingenious of ways. If you’re fond of shows and movies such as these, you might want to keep an eye on The Big Cigar. The show will tell the story of Huey P. Newton, the leader of Black Panther, and how he escapes the FBI’s nationwide manhunt to exile himself in Cuba. The show is will have six episodes, although Apple hasn’t notified us yet about the release dates. 9. Dark Matter

Blake Crouch’s bestselling book Dark Matter sees itself being adapted into a live-action, nine-episode thriller on Apple TV+. The show already has some high expectations set for it, as Dark Matter has been hailed to be one of the best sci-fi novels of the decade. The series will follow the life of Jason Dessen, a family man, physicist, and professor, who gets abducted into an alternate version of his life. As he tries to make his way back into his own reality, he’ll have to deal with many decisions that he’s made in the multiverse. 10. Midnight Family

The series returns for a third season, following the exploits of Ian Grimm and the development of Mythic Quest’s expansion pack. 13. Ghostwriter

Essentially, the ghost starts releasing fictional characters into the real world. Now, it’s up to a gang of neighborhood kids to understand the motives behind the ghost’s actions and solve the mystery surrounding it. 14. Acapulco

The show follows the exploits of Maximo Gallardo in 1984, who’s hired for a job at Las Colinas, Acapulco’s most exclusive resort. However, the job isn’t as straightforward as Gallardo expected it to be. With too many hilarious and often extenuating situations governing Las Colinas, Gallardo has his work cut out for him. 15. Slow Horses

British dry comedy and wit might be an acquired taste, but their edgy nature is often scathing in nature. If you’re a fan of dry humor, you’re going to love Slow Horses. The show has already aired for a very successful first season and is en route to bringing in a second season soon. The anthology is also based on true stories shown in Epic Magazine. Despite their issues, both brothers have kept their sense of humor, and this funeral is a chance for them to introspect and make some changes in their lives and general outlooks.
